The Federal Signal standalone Informer15 Sounder is a 15-watt, indoor/outdoor audible sounder. Federal Signal Informer15 used as a warning and alerting device with both a visual indicator and broadcast of audible tones and pre-recorded messages in hazardous locations. The audible capabilities include locally stored, high-quality, high-powered tones and voice messages. The visual indicator is an integrated, high-powered LED light available in Amber, Blue, Green, Red, and White. IS-I-IP15X is ideal in harsh and hazardous applications including emergency warning, process control systems, and muster stations. Federal Signal Informer15 designed for outdoor and indoor use, especially in loud industrial facilities.

Federal Signal Informer15 Sounder

Has an internal 15-watt amplifier/driver to deliver tone warnings and voice messages from Informer15 stored memory. The Informer15 configured as a standalone device to use external inputs to activate control. This is useful if the location has no network connectivity but where voice and tone alerts from locally activated inputs are required. Out-of-the-box, the standalone Informer15 is pre-programmed with four inputs that can be locally initiated via push button or PLC. Through a web-interface, users can change the standard configuration by programming the four inputs to play tones from the unit’s included microSD card. The audio microSD card is pre-loaded with 163 standard messages and tones, including tones from the SelecTone UTM Tone Module, and is expandable to hold up to 4,000 messages or 17 hours of audio to meet your application needs.

Available in 24VDC and a POE+

Federal Signal Standalone Informer15 models are available in 24VDC and a POE+. Models include one output to control the visual indicator and an output to activate an external relay, which can be used to control external devices. The units have two 1/2-inch NPT openings on the bottom for access to connections.
