Compatibility testing is no easy feat, as a result the 500+ detectors in Solo’s lab include detectors of different profile, design and age. It takes a lot of science and testing to get things right – in the build-up to the launch of a new product, it’s not uncommon for the technical team to run in excess of 10,000 tests – just to ensure the best possible results and the ultimate performance in terms of compatibility and efficiency.
We have several options for functional testing of smoke detectors. The one you choose will depend on how frequently you are testing detectors, the height at which they are installed, other types of detector you are testing and what test equipment you already have.

Solo 365 Smoke Detector Tester
Solo 365 Smoke Detector Tester is the latest addition to the Solo range. It uses non-hazardous, non-pressurised, environmentally-friendly cartridges to generate smoke. Smoke testing has never been this easy.

Solo 330 Aerosol Dispenser
The Solo 330 aerosol dispenser is a valuable piece of equipment smoke detector testing. The Solo 330 is designed to fit the widest range of detectors, with the Solo 332 also available for extra-large detector sizes.
