Consilium MTE2-CS Operation Testing Device For Infrared Flame Detector
The Consilium MTE2-CS flame detector tester is used to perform function test on Salwico IR flame detectors. The extension rod (1.4m – 4.0m) makes it possible to easily test the detector in all environments.
Two ways to test the flame detector with Consilium MTE2-CS IR test lamp.
a) Press the MTE2-CS tester against the detector until the detector cause the tripping of the test initiation switch with an intermittent buzzer sounds. After about 15-30 seconds, check if the flame detector has operated.
b) Set the manual test switch located on the top of the MTE2 CS device to “ON” position to cause a continuous intermittent buzzer sound. Hold the tester close to the detector so the distance between the detector and the device is within 5 cm. If the detector operates within 30 seconds under this condition, the detector is normal. If the is no response after 30 seconds in any of those tests there may be a problem with the detector or the tester itself.
